I'll Look At The Sun And I'll Look In The Mirror

So the latest issue of The Sunday Time STYLE Magazine?
It went completely super-sized. I mean it was so epic that you actually looked a bit strange carrying it down the road.

But I loved it. With 110 pages of gorgeous colour and features, it really was the big fashion issue.

Got Bruises On My Knees For You

I thought I would do a post to celebrate National Bike Week (Saturday 13th June - Sunday 21st June). This month's Glamour says: "a bike seem to be the hippest way to travel". I totally agree, it's faster than walking, better for the environment than driving, and much less tiring than running.

I've been riding my bike a lot recently. It's definitely a lot of fun and keeps you fit. Cycling doesn't have to be all lycra and sweat. It's nice just to ride at a gentle pace and take in your surroundings and enjoy life. I personally am thinking about saving up for an adorable vintage bike. One with a little woven basket and a bell in an apple red or mint green colour.

I doubt I'll ever get round to getting a bike like this.

I've been seeing many pictures of celebrities who have got the cycling bug. From Duffy to Mary-Kate, everyone seems to be joining this new traveling trend.

Today I went for a picnic in Richmond Park. It's a gorgeous place and there are so many paths and hidden places. They have bikes to hire or you can just bring your own. We saw lots of deer and sat by the lake. It was a lovely day but I only wish I hadn't fallen off my bike - it hurt :(

Can't Drag Me To A Fashion Show

I've been going through my old files recently to try and make more space so I don't mess up my laptop. Most of my time has been spent looking at the fashion and editorials that I'd saved. I was surprised to see that I have not a single runway picture. However, there's millions from backstage at the show.

I've decided that this is because backstage is simply the better advertising. I find that you can actually imagine yourselves in the collections if you see them being lived in. If the models look like they're having fun and laughing then surely you'll be having the same experience if you wear the clothes.

I see why the runway is good as you do get to see the different angles and better detailing of the clothes but models seem so more like us when they're messing around.

Enough About Me, Let's Talk About You

Hair Bow - Primark
Grey Cardigan - New Look
Flower Vest - Primark
Green Belt - Sister's
Stripe Skirt - H&M
Necklace - DIY
 Socks - Gap
Shoes - River Island

My mum donated this bag to me a couple of days ago. It had been sitting in her wardrobe for years without use. I'm completely in love with it. The print is summery and the embroidery is beautiful.

These are currently my favourite shoes, bought in the river island sale for £12. They are the comfiest things ever and so sparkly.

I'll Always Remember You Like A Child

I really don't think I have time for this blog. But I don't want to give up so I'm gonna try and make the odd post.

I bought Lula today. I'd been looking for it for a while but none of my shops ever had it. I was seriously impressed by this issue. Not only we're they talking to Luella but they talked to Hannah Murray. I cannot express how much I loved Cassie from skins. I miss the old gang so much...

Because Wearing Black Looks Mysterious

source: style sightings

I've never managed to work the all black look without people thinking I'm going to a funeral but these two ladies manage it perfectly and the leather is an extra bonus.

I haven't vanished and gone to mars or anything, I've just been a little busy and have had some technical difficulties. I'm gonna try and post everyday again and catch up with everyones blogs as soon as I can.

I Found Some Kind Of Fairytale

Karlie Kloss Gucci Spring08
Since getting a new laptop, I've had to start my inspiration folder from scratch. This was the first thing that I saved. It's quite an old picture but Karlie looks beautiful.

Behind An Endless Rose And Light

Today has been a lazy day. I've done some work and read far too many blogs. I made a polyvore of some of my favourite things in Topshop at the moment. I want to buy all of these things but lack of money means I'll only get a couple. I already own the rose and rope print tunic. Its lovely and worth the money.

Hat Hatred

UGG Ultra Aviator Leather Trim Hat
What were they thinking when they made this hat? The style is perfectly good, in fact I have a hat like this only covered in lots of fur (from H&M). What really annoys me is how the front part is so slow and on most people would cover their eyes. It costs £120. Who would pay that much for a hat like this, I'm not actually an UGG hater. I own a pair of the classics in chesnut and they keep my feet toasty and I try and refrain from wearing them unless my feet really need the warmth. But seriously, the hat costs more than the boots.

I have no idea why this hat angered me so much.

I Think You Lost It In The Hollywood Hills

Hilary Duff 10th November - Just Jared
I've never had a set opinion on Hilary's style. Her fashion is normally on trend and I have to say that I'm often jealous of what she wears. However, I think her good girl attitude means that she can never totally pull off a lot of looks. The over-sized knitwear is awesome. I bought something similar from Primark a couple of weeks ago. My favourite part of the outfit is her boots. I've been looking for fringe boots everywhere but I can't afford any of them. The cheapest so far have been from Zara but they don't fit the shape of my feet well. The only thing which ruins this outfit is her bag. Does anyone know who it's by? Personally, I think it's really unattractive and I don't like the shape either.

Winter Is Eating My Money

ASOS is my favourite high-street online website. I'm still too poor to afford all the clothes on their but the clearance section is always reasonable and some items are worth the price. I love the Jackets/Coats/Blazers. I already have my essential winter coat and really can't afford another but it's nice to browse.
Asos Zip Front Cocoon Coat
I love the zip detail and the over-sized collar. And the fact that it has pockets is extra yay.

ASOS Bow Back Full Pleat Hem Mac
Might not be able to see the front but the colour is beautiful and the pleats and bow make it so feminine. Kind of reminds me of Gossip Girl even though it's in the style of Kate Moss.

Gestuz Tuxedo Tail Jacket
So simple and well cut. I don't think I'd wear this much because it wouldn't compliment my style but it's beautiful.

Pepe Wool Rib Leather Gilet
Lots of people I know have finally jumped onto the leather jacket trend so now I don't look so unique. I must have this in my life it will fit in perfectly to my winter wardrobe.

If What You Are Is A Daydream

Am I the only one who is in love with Taylor Swift. She's got an amazing voice and she is just so damn beautiful. She really makes me hate having straight hair. Her curls just always look so natural and dreamy. My hair just hangs all akwardly and it generally causes me a lot of grief. Her fashion isn't elabrote or anything, mostly just floaty dresses but they suit her figure and music perfectly.

Stars Shine Brighter When We're Together

Zachary Quinto for Star Trek. He looks interesting and I'm sure he'll play his part well but I won't be seeing the film - at least not in the cinemas. Never watched Star Trek in my life and I often find it hard to see actors from my favorite TV shows/Movies as other characters. Maybe one I'll flick through the movie to check that Zach is as awesome as he should be.

Cheesy Movies That Rock

Last Wednesday all my favourite comics came out but I've only managed to see scans so my reviews will have to wait.

In other news, Camp Rock came in the U.K. on Friday. So I headed around to my friend's house, grabbed some popcorn and got comfy - ready to watch it. Within the first five minutes, I was hiding behind my cushion cringing but that was to be expected because the movie is made by Disney.

I like Demi Lovato's voice and her acting was good considering the fact that Camp Rock was one of her first big projects. Her character Mitchie was slightly annoying but she was realistic which I find is one of the most important things for a character to be.

The rest of the cast were pretty decent. I loved the actress who plays Ella - Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (long name!), and I never knew that she had such an amazing voice. I nearly fell off the bed when I saw how much Alyson Stoner had changed. Her facial features were recognizable but she really has matured. The actress who played Tess annoyed the hell out of me but I think that was the point.

One of the main let-downs of the film was the length (only an hour and a half) and the fact that the Jonas Brothers were barely in it. Okay, Joe was the lead male character but Kevin and Nick probably only had 5 minutes screen time. I only wanted to watch the movie for them so that was a real let-down.

There's not much to say about the plot because it's pretty simple: girl goes to camp, lies to become popular, meets boy, lies to him as well, everyone finds out that girl has been lying, boy and girl fight, girl is upset, all is resolved, girl and boy get together. Everything was predictable but it's meant to be a children's movie so a complicated plot is out of the question.

In conclusion, the movie rocked. The soundtacks were catchy, the cast was above average and it was a generally entertaining film. I'll definitely be wanting to watch Camp Rock 2.

Homework calls to me, I'll review more another day.
